The Autumnal Equinox and Other Thoughts

For the briefest, most infinitesimal unit of time, that even Planck could appreciate…day equal will equal night, light will equal dark, and yin will equal yang. Tomorrow, on Sunday the 22nd at 8:44 am EST, the first day of fall will arrive in the Northern Hemisphere and the Autumnal Equinox will occur.

By the time we realize it has happened, it is already a past event. Consciousness lags occurrence. Occurrence is at the mercy of time. And time is completely and utterly unbiased.

How we use our time, our allotted footprint on this planet, when essentially no-one is watching, is evidence of how highly we regard our personal level of character and integrity. The only one who truly knows what a person’s intentions are is that person. We are the only watcher of all we think, say or do every minute, every second, every imperceptible, miniscule unit of time.
