The first animal sign in the twelve-year Chinese zodiac cycle, the Rat is usually compatible with those born under the sign of Dragon and Monkey.
Many are well known for their charm, sociability, and deep connections with their family and friends. Considered to be the “sentimentalist” of the zodiac cycle, they might be found doting on children and elders alike.
With a tendency to adapt to nearly any given situation, the Rat has the potential to excel in whatever they decide to do. Many love a challenge, thrive in a crisis, and will diligently investigate anything or anyone they meet.
This first animal sign rules the time between 11:00 pm to 1:00 am. The corresponding direction is North, the season is Winter and December is its primary month. The Rat in the Chinese zodiac cycle corresponds to Sagittarius in western astrology.
If you are lucky enough to have a Rat person in your life, chances are they will cherish you always.
