In the Northern Hemisphere, it is officially summer, the season of abundance. As the yang to winter’s yin, it provides us with tangible and visual confirmation of what we planted and focused on six months ago. The seeds and tiny sparks of inspiration rooted in the dark cold are now flourishing in the bright light of these warmer months. While the bounty before us is the result of conscious or unconscious goal making, it is also the precursor to what we will need to harvest in the fall.
As we know, everything is so intricately and delicately intertwined. Actions always produce results. Universal Qi remains unbiased in all situations. It is merely the harbinger of our intentions and commitments. We all have our own version of abundance. One’s preferred concept of plenty is immaterial. Learning and personal growth come from our ability to navigate the symbolism and cultural expectations of prosperity. Does generosity, compassion and kindness, in any form, have a place?
Enjoy summer’s plenty. As the days stretch long and the air hums with life, it is a time to reflect on our journey, celebrate the abundance around us, and prepare for the continuous cycle of sowing and reaping that defines our existence.
