Being healthy takes time. It takes time, persistence, focus and an overwhelming commitment to being the best you can be at any age. Being healthy is demanding. Good health demands attention and you have a choice as to what kind of attention to give it. You can pay attention to your health when you are sick or you can pay attention to your health when you are well. It is completely up to you.
There are people who will never be well and there are people who will always be well. There are people who find their health hopeless and there are people who will do anything to get better. There are people who refuse to do anything to help and there are people who work all the time maintaining their health and getting better. Where does your health routine and your views on health fit in? Do you like what you do or is there room for improvement? Are your efforts all or nothing or are you more in the middle? Have you learned how to balance your time dedicated to your health with all the other variables in your life? What a lot to think about and that is only the beginning. Is it any wonder, then, that most of us avoid making any decision at all?
The truth is that even in your indecision you are making a decision. By default and avoidance, you are choosing to pay attention to your health when you are sick. In the short term, this may seem like the easiest thing to do. In the long term, it is the hardiest, the most time consuming and most expensive way to live. Exercising every day and being aware of everything, you eat and how you live is hard and takes time. You have to make choices. Sometimes they are not easy. Either you can take control of your health now or your health (or lack of health) will take control of your life when you are older. Isn’t it time to challenge those thoughts you have about being healthy? Aren’t you worth the effort?
Here’s to the Health of your Life.
