I say we need to dream again and get in touch with the hopes and visions that filled our lives when we were young. The knowing we once had that everything and anything was possible still exists in all of us. For some of us it is still quite active but for many of us it has been lying dormant just waiting to be called into action again. When we were young we could be anything and do everything. Boundaries were non-existent, we were oblivious to time and the limitations of a three dimensional reality. Our goals and ambitions were based on desire instead of need. Our opinions meant something and we strived for a better world because that was the right thing to do. The days were an amazing experience, filled with wonders and appreciation for life itself. We were without obligations, without bills and without worries. Life was good.
Somewhere at some time that all ended. Life became a struggle and our dreaming stopped. We had bills, we had obligations and worries too numerous to count. Society convinced us that it was better to be a realist instead of a dreamer. But it is the dreamers that make life worth living.
Dreaming has become a lost art. The communications of our soul have been dimmed by unfulfilled expectations and a culture that prizes concrete thinking.
Let us dream again. If not for ourselves than for our children and for our planet. Let us pass to our children the hopes and vision we once had and teach them the lost art of possibility. Let us give them the empty space of time and a lack of busy work. Let our dreams fuel their dreams and let their dreams inspire us for more.
Here’s to the Health of your Life.
